Tammie A. Rosen

Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Tammie A. Rosen, of Manhattan and Margate City, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, after a long and arduous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Sheryle and the late Dr. Kenneth Rosen, sister of Stefani (Mitchell) Graff and Brian (Katie) Rosen and aunt of Jacob, Remi and Christopher. A native of Cherry Hill, NJ, and a proud alum of The Peddie School (1994) and Union College (1998), Tammie was a staple of the entertainment industry, widely respected for her belief in and commitment to the transformative power of independent film. She was most recently the Chief Communications Officer at the Sundance Institute, where she helped guide the organization through major institutional challenges, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the planned 2027 relocation of the film festival to Boulder, Colorado. Before her Sundance tenure, Tammie served for nearly 14 years as Executive Vice President for the Tribeca Film Festival's communications and programming efforts, an organization whose mission of rebuilding NYC’s cultural life after 9/11 Tammie found personally and professionally rewarding.
Tammie took immense pride in her career, becoming renowned throughout the small world of independent cinema for her tireless work ethic and her dedication to elevating the next generation of filmmakers. She was a Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Yet, she will be remembered by those who knew her best for her deep love of family, walks at the Jersey Shore, red lipstick, the Philadelphia Eagles, and, perhaps most of all, Bruce Springsteen, for whom she never missed a show. No matter the chapter she was living in, Tammie’s devotion and optimism made her the kind of person others were instinctively drawn to. We are deeply saddened that she is no longer with us, but may her memory, and her legacy, be a blessing. We will miss her greatly.
