December 8, 2022, of Egg Harbor Twp., formerly of Marlton, NJ. Husband of 33 years to Diana Lesse. Father of Reide Lesse, Rachel (Patrick) Flynn, Nicole (Brian) Caserta and Danielle (Dan) Don. Grandfather of Devon, Jaelyn, Rielle, Logan and Skylar. Brother of Leona Rothstein and Marilyn (Michael) Radbill. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.\nStephen Lesse passed at the age of 73. He was surrounded by the love of this family and we were fortunate enough to each spend time to say our individual goodbyes and told him it was okay to finally let go of pain.\nStephen was a graduate of Germantown High School class of 1967. He continued on and graduated from Temple majoring in Science, then onto New York Chiropractic school. He was in the Air Force for six years and he was a 32nd degree Mason. \n \nStephen was diagnosed with liver cancer 8 years ago after being treated for a hereditary fatty liver, it was quite shocking, for someone who never smoked or drank, he hardly took an aspirin, only his vitamins. It was a very aggressive cancer and in two years returned to the transplanted liver. He did several different therapies, took about 25 pills daily, and he couldn't tolerate chemo. The very therapies and meds that gave us seven years of life now seriously diminished his kidneys. His real decline was caused by fifth and final stage kidney failure. Stephen's illness was never an inconvenience, most times Diana was with him for doctor visits and therapies but many times Rachel was with him. We pulled together as families do, doing whatever helped. I couldn't possibly be more proud of all our children's love and support. He was so loved and lovable, we chose not to cry and we all kept as funny as we could even in the most embarrassing of moments. We laughed a lot, reminisced about old times with family and friends and looked at old pictures. \nRelatives and friends are invited Tuesday, December 13, 2022 beginning 11:30 AM to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ where a Masonic Service will begin at 12:15 PM. Funeral Services will begin promptly at 12:30 PM. Inurnment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the home of Rachel and Patrick Flynn on Tuesday following the services and on Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 PM.
