Joseph Ronan Wolf

Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Joseph Ronan Wolf, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Joe was born on January 19, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Albert and Agnes Wolf. He was one of five siblings: Anna, Buddy, and Agnes, who preceded him in death, and Kathi, who survives him.
After graduating from North Catholic High School, Joe proudly served in the United States Army. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Jean. Together they shared 69 devoted years of marriage until Jean’s passing in 2022.
Joe and Jean were the proud parents of six children: Joseph Jr., who died at age one; Nancy Wolf; James Wolf (Rose); Kate Wolf; Val Shopp (Gordon); and Christopher Wolf (Corrine). Their family continued to grow to include 15 grandchildren—Aiden, Alex, Ben, Chelsea, Chloe, Cody, Jake, Jeff, Joe, Kevin, Mads, Nate, Sam, Sarah, and Zach—and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought them immense pride, love, and joy.
Following his military service, Joe earned a degree in civil engineering from Drexel University. He went on to a long and distinguished career, serving as Vice President of Camden Lime Company and practicing as a professional engineer for decades.
Joe’s intelligence was evident to all who knew him—he was a proud, card-carrying member of Mensa. Beyond engineering, he nurtured a deep love for both art and music. A prolific watercolor artist and a master guitarist, Joe built a wide circle of friends through these passions. He leaves behind a legacy of beautiful artwork and many cherished memories of the jam sessions he hosted over the years.
Above all else, Joe will be remembered for his fierce devotion to family, his wicked sense of humor, and the lasting bonds of friendship he forged throughout his life. While he will be deeply missed, those fortunate enough to have known him are forever richer for having shared in his life and love.
We will be honoring and celebrating Joe’s life with a private gathering for family and friends, by invitation.
