Jeffrey C. Zucker, Esq, of Voorhees, NJ died December 14, 2025. He was 78 years old.

Jeffrey Zucker (3/20/1947 — 12/14/2025) was consistently recognized as one of the country’s top criminal defense lawyers and a leading lawyer in the State of New Jersey over a practice exceeding 50 years. Born in the Bronx, NY and raised in Haddon Township, NJ, Mr Zucker graduated from the University of Pittsburg (‘69) and Stetson University College of Law (‘72) before serving as an Assistant Prosecutor in Camden County.

As a criminal defense attorney, his high profile representations have been widely chronicled in the local news market with frequent coverage in the Philadelphia Inquirer and former South Jersey Courier Post. Jeffrey’s prominent cases included representing Rabbi Neulander, the clergy leader from Cherry Hill who was accused of first degree premeditated murder of his wife, a closely watched case nationally syndicated on Court TV daily and other local, national and other international broadcasts, as well as his appearance before a US Senate subcommittee for a closely watched case against the Mudman, the chieftain of the notorious motorcycle gang, the Pagans.

Mr. Zucker has appeared before the US Supreme Court, and has tried cases outside of NJ including throughout Philadelphia, Florida, Las Vegas, Wyoming, Bahamas and Panama. A prized criminal defense attorney with cases ranging from multiples DUIs, drug possession charges, racketeering, felony murder — among his more esoteric representation, Mr. Zucker defended a woman accused of stealing a baby from a neighbor's first birthday party, a notorious case referred to locally as “The Baby is Mines” verdict. Mr. Zucker represented countless members associated with the Philadelphia and Atlantic City mafia as well as generations of prominent Camden families, some with dozens of members who were clients over the span of many decades. Beyond being considered one of the area’s preeminent lawyers, Mr. Zucker was best known and will be likely remembered for relentless advocacy and personal care for all his clients.

Mr. Zucker leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Suzy Zucker, an acclaimed choreographer who spent 18 years choreographing the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders (including 1 Super Bowl win), and his two children — Lauren, cofounder of NYC based wellness brand Sage + Sound, and son, Adam, cofounder of NYC based renewable energy developer, Fieldston Power, along with 5 grandchildren. The son of Marilyn Appleman and Alvin Zucker, Jeffrey also leaves two younger siblings, Stefanie Bloch and Heidi Stern.

Relatives and friends are invited Tuesday, December 16, 2025 beginning 12:00 noon to Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc. 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ where funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. Shiva will be observed at the Zucker residence on Tuesday following the burial until 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Minyan will take place at 7:30 pm each evening.
