Gilda E. Fingerman Obituary (2023)

Our dear mother, Gilda Estelle (Mazie) Fingerman, passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 92. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was predeceased by two brothers, her beloved parents, Shirley and Isadore Mazie, and her husband of 72 years, Alfred (At). She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Michael), her two sons, Michael and David, her three grandsons, Maximilian (Jordyn), Austin, and Dylan, her bonus great-grandson, Jason, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gilda had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Pennsauken and Cherry Hill communities, and Beth Jacob Synagogue. Gilda realized her dream of becoming an elementary teacher. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees after beginning Glassboro State College when she was 38 years old. She and At enjoyed years of hobbies together, including travel, bowling, tennis, golf and finally Bridge, of which she became a life master. In addition, they spent many wonderful years as snowbirds in Lakeworth, Florida. Relatives and friends are invited Monday, April 17, 2023, beginning 10:30 am to Platt Memorial Chapels, 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ where funeral services will begin promptly at 11:00 am.
