Ethan Joseph Wilkins
November 5, 2009 - October 5, 2026
We're heartbroken to share that Ethan Joseph Wilkins passed away suddenly on October 5. Ethan was loved so much by his family and friends, and he loved everyone back. With his outgoing personality, adventurous spirit, constant desire to learn, and eagerness to help others, he brought so much light to all our lives.
Ethan was born November 5, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Redding, California, to Heather and Tim Wilkins. He was born one minute after his twin brother, Skyler, even though he loved to tell everyone that Skyler was the younger brother.
From childhood, Ethan was curious and quick to laugh. He loved his animals, especially Trixie, Eiger, Shakti, Bella and Mittens. He grew up in a loving, warm, and supportive family, and took countless trips between the East and West coasts so he could spend time with everyone. His days were filled with learning, exploring nature and riding his bike.
Ethan attended Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ. He was a very bright Honor Roll student who loved all his classes and was always eager to learn. He rode the bus to school with a big smile on his face every day, which brightened up the mornings of his classmates. He loved parties and sleepovers with his friends.
He was a natural helper, a student who teachers could rely on to help when needed. He also could fix anything, including his bikes and a 20-year-old lawnmower that nobody else could get to work. He always volunteered to help a friend, neighbor or family member and enjoyed assembling the QVC and HSN purchases that his grandma “Ferndel” purchased.
Ethan enjoyed cooking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing and mountain biking, especially with his MTB crew/team. He had so much fun doing paintball with the "Dirty Jersey Boys" team and playing on the Marlton Recreational Soccer Team.
Ethan treasured his family, his friends, travel, outdoor sports and family reunions. Trips to the Jersey Shore and the Ocean City boardwalk were highlights. His favorite trip was to Turks and Caicos for the 50th anniversary of his grandparents’, Fern and Eddie Maisel.
Ethan is survived by his parents, Heather Wilkins and Tim Wilkins; his twin brother, Skyler; his grandparents Edward and Fern Maisel and Todd and Lynne Wilkins; his aunts and uncles, Tamar and Howard Maisel, Gregory and Eileen Maisel, and Allison and Patrick Hooper; his first cousins, including Laine, Hana, and Michaela Hooper, Ellie and Mackenzie Maisel, and Zoe Maisel; and a large and loving extended family.
Ethan's family and friends will remember him for his laughter, sense of adventure, friendship, curiosity, hard work, and love. Ethan was a bright and happy spirit.
Ethan was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed. And he will never be forgotten.
