In Loving Memory of Dylan Michael Geller
November 15, 2004 – July 27, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Dylan Michael Geller. A vibrant and compassionate young man of just 20 years, Dylan lived in Voorhees, NJ, and attended Rowan University, where he touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, humor, and light.

Dylan lit up every room with his joy and infectious smile. Whether offering help to classmates or assisting his grandmother around the house, he connected with people from all walks of life. His caring nature, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty were just a few of the reasons he was a steadfast friend, a devoted brother, and a treasured son.

Dylan’s absence will be deeply felt throughout his community. He was a 2023 graduate of Eastern Regional High School, where he especially excelled in English class. In 11th grade, he received recognition for earning the highest grade in his ELA coursework. During his last two years in high school, he volunteered with his school’s special needs population in Room 17, an experience that inspired Dylan to major in Special Education with a minor in Physical Education. Dylan was also an active member of BBYO Chapel AZA. Dylan took that knowledge of his experience in AZA and was part of establishing AEPi Gamma Upsilon chapter at Rowan University. It was important to Dylan to incorporate his Jewish faith into his social network not only in High School but also at college. His dream after college was to launch an Adaptive Physical Education Program at his former high school, helping students with special needs who were unable to participate in traditional gym classes. At Rowan, he played intramural sports. He also served as a substitute teacher in several South Jersey public schools. Dylan had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and uplifted - he truly believed in the dignity and potential of every person.

Dylan loved sports and competition of all kinds, but one of his favorite activities was playing basketball against his younger brother, Chase. During these heated 1-v-1 challenges, their mom, Dawn, often had to step in as referee to keep things civil - eventually banning the games altogether for a stretch of time. Dylan was also a loyal fan of all Philadelphia sports, most recently cheering on his beloved Birds, Superbowl LIX Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, along with his brother Chase, in New Orleans. When he wasn’t playing or watching sports, Dylan could be found laughing at episodes of The Office or binge-watching Love Island with his brother.

Above all, Dylan loved his family with his whole heart. He cherished family vacations, beach outings, riding wave runners with his parents and siblings, and annual ski trips where the kids would often race each other. When not competing on the slopes, Dylan treasured simply spending time together hanging out in their backyard while listening to country music.

Dylan leaves behind his grieving family: his loving mother, Dawn (Jaffee) Geller; his devoted father, Dr. Jeffery Geller; his beloved sister, Sydney and her boyfriend, AJ Willard; and his two brothers, Austin and Chase. His absence will be deeply felt by his 20-month-old nephew, Carter, whom he adored, and by his newborn niece, Elora. He is also survived by his cherished grandmother, Barbara Reiver, as well as Uncle Darren, Uncle Todd, Uncle Shawn, Uncle Jason, Uncle Peter, Aunt Nancy and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins Asher, Ryan, Alex and Caden and extended family members. In addition to his family, Dylan will be profoundly missed by his one-on-one paraprofessional and school guardian, Earnest Williams—affectionately known as Mr. Earn—whose unwavering support kept Dylan safe during his battle with epilepsy. Dylan’s passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of his many close friends, especially his lifelong best friends Jared Felsenstein, Noah Bender, Darren Trinetto, Jaron Brower, and Alex Milman. He was also deeply loved by friends including Ashley Springfield, Johnay Stilley, Olivia Capers and Victoria Adams. Dylan’s Rowan roommates Ally Mackey, Zahara Andino, Emma Delaney, Savannah D’Souza and Sam Omokeji lightened his days while at school as well as a wider community that now mourns together.
