Dr. Daniel H. Belsky Obituary (2025)

Daniel H. Belsky, 93, of Voorhees, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born on January 28, 1932, in Philadelphia, he was a skilled athlete, setting track and field records at Olney High School and Temple University. After attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he practiced obstetrics and gynecology for four decades, chairing numerous boards, task forces and committees and publishing dozens of landmark research studies. An integral force behind Kennedy Memorial Hospital and UMDNJ, he was a longtime outspoken advocate for women’s reproductive rights. Danny is survived by his children, Michael Belsky (Theo), Sheryl Dunmire, Marcie Obstfeld (David), Adam Belsky and Linda Resnikoff (Ron), along with 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Ann, and beloved son, Martin. His warmth, humor and wisdom will be missed forever. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, October 16 at Platt Memorial Chapels, 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ, with shiva to follow at Lion’s Gate, 1110 Laurel Oak Rd., Voorhees, NJ.
