ANDREW DEAN CLEARFIELD
Andrew Dean Clearfield of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away August 17, 2026 following an illness.
He is survived by wife Paula (nee Weinstein), son Alex (fiancee Sarah Paxton), and aide and friend Toni Newland, as well as cousins Buffi Gresh, David Clemenko, Randi Miller, Peter Yollin, Tony Yollin, Donna Koppel, Debbie Ranck, and Craig Wasserman, and their families.
Andy was born in Philadelphia on March 30, 1956 to parents Buddy and Judy (nee Clemenko), and grew up in Cheltenham, PA alongside his brother Robert. He graduated from Cheltenham High School and Temple University, both places where he made lifelong friends.
After a brief career as a music critic, he worked in public relations before earning a law degree at Delaware Law School. Upon finding that practicing law was not for him, he embarked on a career selling technology to corporate legal departments.
He had many passions and hobbies, among them collecting classic toys and memorabilia of all kinds. But most important were music and the Philadelphia Eagles, who managed to win two Super Bowls in his lifetime.
And even more important than those were his family, who were always his top priority, and his dozens and dozens of friends dating back to elementary school.
He is predeceased by his parents Buddy and Judy, brother Robert, uncle Boysey Clemenko, aunts Omi Yollin and Nita Wasserman, and many, many pets, including his beloved dog Gabbie and cats Bernie and Jackie.
There will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 24, with further details to come.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, www.aonj.org.
