Alan E. Spector, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away on October 31, 2026.

Alan was the beloved husband of Joanne Spector, cherished father of David (Ana) Spector, dear brother of Barbara Spector, cousin of Robert (Diane Whitehead) Polis, and step-grandfather of Jhen and Bruno. He is also survived by many other loving family members and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Alan dedicated much of his professional life to helping others. He served as a Family Counselor specializing in HIV/AIDS on behalf of Camden County Government, providing guidance, compassion, and support to individuals and families during a particularly challenging time. His commitment to helping others and his ability to listen made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.

Alan was a graduate of Temple University and went on to earn his Master’s Degree from Norwich University in Vermont.

Outside of his professional life, Alan enjoyed traveling, reading, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Some of his favorite memories were made down the shore in Brigantine and in Florida, where he treasured being together with the people he loved.

The family would also like to recognize Eugene and Jackie Tenuto and the entire Tenuto family, who were always there for Alan. Their friendship, kindness, generosity, caring nature, and unwavering support meant so much to him and his family, and they will always be remembered with deep gratitude.

Relatives and friends are invited Thursday November 5, 2026 beginning 12:15 pm to Platt Memorial Chapels, 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ, where funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00pm. Funeral services will also be live streamed on Alan’s memorial page at plattmemorial.com. Interment will follow at Crescent Memorial Park, Pennsauken, NJ.

Shiva will be observed at the home of David and Ana Spector, Thursday following the burial until 8:00 pm, with Minyan at 5:00 pm.
