ADA WALLACH
August 6, 2026, of Voorhees, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 104½ years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, resilience, and a life fully lived.
Ada was the beloved wife of the late Harry Wallach, with whom she shared a loving marriage built on devotion, adventure, and family. She was the cherished mother of Saundra "Sandi" (Anthony) Campione, Carolyn (Raymond) Weiss, and Rosalyn (the late Richard) Baker. She was the proud grandmother of Andy, Dana, Eileen, Jacque, Jesse, Joe, Laura, Richard, and Robert, great-grandmother of seventeen, and great-great-grandmother of nine. She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family, dear friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Ada was many things throughout her remarkable life, a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, mentor, and friend—but above all, she was simply Ada. There was no one quite like her.
Born with an independent spirit far ahead of her time, Ada believed in creating her own opportunities and living life on her own terms. At just sixteen years old, she graduated high school early and earned a college scholarship. Although financial circumstances prevented her from attending college at that time, she refused to let disappointment define her future.
While working as a camp counselor in Pennsylvania, she met the love of her life, Harry Wallach. Ada and Harry successfully owned and operated a family bakery. After they retired from the bakery, Ada began an entirely new chapter, returning to school to become a court stenographer. She proudly served the City of Philadelphia until retiring at the age of 85, proving that learning and personal growth never have an expiration date.
Curiosity was one of Ada's greatest gifts. She was a lifelong learner who devoured books and newspapers, took ballroom dancing lessons, learned to play the guitar and piano, studied voice, and embraced every opportunity to discover something new.
Ada possessed an elegant presence, a brilliant mind, and an unforgettable sense of humor. She had impeccable timing, a quick wit, and delighted in surprising those around her with stories that left everyone laughing. Her family and friends will forever treasure the countless moments she filled in their hearts.
Following Harry's passing, Ada continued embracing life with the same enthusiasm that had always defined her. She believed companionship, friendship, joy, and adventure belonged at every age. She never allowed growing older to keep her from living fully.
Throughout more than a century of life, Ada witnessed the Great Depression, world wars, extraordinary technological advances, and generations of family growing around her. Through every chapter, she remained resilient, compassionate, curious, and graceful.
Perhaps Ada's greatest lesson was beautifully simple: treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of race, religion, or background. She believed life was meant to be celebrated, family treasured, laughter shared generously, and every day viewed as another opportunity to learn something new.
True to her spirit, Ada requested that her family not mourn her passing but celebrate her extraordinary life with good food, music, dancing, laughter, and stories. Those who knew her know she would much rather hear joyful conversation than quiet tears.
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every lesson she taught, every laugh she inspired, and every family tradition she helped create. She showed us that we are never too old to learn, to dance, to love, to laugh, or to surprise those we cherish.
Relatives and friends are invited on Monday, August 10, 2026, beginning at 1:30 p.m. to Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc., 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ, where memorial services will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.
